1 · Description of Service

Valence is a personal finance tool that lets you record, track, and analyse your investment portfolio. The Service is provided for informational and record-keeping purposes only. Nothing on this platform constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. See our Disclaimer for details.

2 · Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3 · Subscriptions & Payments

Valence offers free and paid plans. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, on a recurring basis at the price shown at checkout.

• Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time from Account Settings; access to paid features continues until the end of the current paid period and is not renewed thereafter.
• Payments are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
• If a payment fails, paid features remain available for a short grace period before the subscription lapses to the free plan.
• We may change plan pricing with reasonable advance notice; changes take effect at your next renewal.

4 · Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Scrape, crawl, or programmatically extract data from the Service without prior written permission
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service
• Upload or enter data that you do not have the right to use
• Interfere with or degrade the performance of the Service for other users

5 · Your Data

You retain full ownership of all portfolio data you enter into the Service. We process your data solely to operate the Service on your behalf. You may export your data at any time and request deletion of your account and all associated data. See our Privacy Policy for details.

6 · Market Data

Price data is sourced from third-party providers (Yahoo Finance) and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. We make no representations about the accuracy or completeness of any market data displayed. Do not rely solely on Valence for investment decisions.

7 · Service Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uptime or uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, apply updates, or temporarily restrict access without notice. We are not liable for any loss arising from service interruptions.

8 · No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or meet your specific requirements.

9 · Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Valence and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including trading losses, loss of data, or loss of profits) arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

10 · Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time via Account Settings → Delete Account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without prior notice.

11 · Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12 · Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law principles.
